Engineering Partners provided electrical engineering design and construction administration for the largest capital improvement investment in Padre Dam Municipal Water District history.
Southwestern Community College, as part of their master plan, required a central emergency generator to serve their new Security Building, Math and Science Building, existing Building 210, and provide infrastructure for future buildings.
EPI made applications for interconnect with the local utility. All of the systems were grid tied, California Solar Initiative compliant, and utility approved.
The new central plant was designed for future connected loads with controls including microprocessor control of chillers, VFD's, pumps, fan coils and exhaust fans. Chilled water pumping was configured as Primary/Secondary with VFD's on the pumps.
EPI conducted field investigations of the electrical systems and roofs of seven buildings, determined their suitability for roof mounted photovoltaic panels, and designed the installations.
